
The BCLA announced plans for a global consensus report to deliver evidence-based guidance to eye care professionals on astigmatism management and issued a call for expert authors.
Following the BCLA Clear and subsequent edition dedicated to presbyopia, the astigmatism-focused issue will be published in the 2027 BCLA Contact Lens and Anterior Eye journal (CLAE), featuring collated evidence from globally respected experts.
Professor Shehzad Naroo, executive co-chair of BCLA Clear Astigmatism, said: ‘The previous two BCLA Clear issues have proven to be a huge resource for everyone involved in the fields of contact lenses and presbyopia. We expect the next BCLA Clear issue in CLAE to be the benchmark in the field of astigmatism.’
