Black & Lizars this week announced its ambition to rollout a loyalty card across its 24 practices in Scotland and one in Belfast.
Branded ‘the Black Card’, the company said holders would benefit from special price offers, such as, no add-on charges for advanced imaging. It was designed to make regular eye examinations affordable for the patients returning regularly to its local practices, a statement added.
The announcement follows a trial period in two of the company’s Glasgow based practices in Giffnock and Milngavie. As yet, the card has offered holders access to appointments with the company's principal optometrist, Colin Black. The company said the new entitlement card has been used by 300 patients at these two practices since October 2015.
‘The company is and always has been a strong supporter of NHS-funded care,’ said Black & Lizar’s managing director, Michelle Le Provost. ‘But we would like to provide care to our loyal and valued patients without limitations, and the Black Card will help us to do that.'
