Black & Lizars rolls out Nikon lens app

Black & Lizars has rolled out a new Nikon lens app across 20 of its 24 practices in Scotland.

The app uses illustrations and videos to demonstrate latest lenswear and coating technology.

Stewart Saunders (pictured), practice manager at Black & Lizars' Fenwick Road practice in Glasgow, said: ‘The app is quite remarkable. It illustrates to clients that a lens is not just a lens and lets them see a huge variety of differences in design and coatings, allowing them to make a really informed decision. Patients with higher prescriptions can see what upgrading their lens design will do to their vision and how these improved lenses help reduce visual stress. The app shows how distortions and warping is minimised through more sophisticated lens design.’
