Black & Lizars supported a polar expedition by providing support at training events and specialist sunglasses and goggles for the team to wear while navigating the Arctic.
The independent group supported the Polar Academy, a non-profit organisation that aimed to empower teenagers who suffered bereavement, lived with anxiety and depression, or were bullied.
Participants were put through a 10-month physical and mental training programme that culminated in a sledge hauling expedition in Greenland.
The Polar Academy said eye protection was paramount to navigating sea ice and thanked Colin Gibson, group services manager at Black & Lizars, for providing the necessary equipment.
