Ophthalmic professionals from around the UK were recently given a live demonstration of Bausch+Lomb’s Victus femtosecond 3D laser – designed to support cataract, refractive and therapeutic procedures on one platform.
The live surgery featured patients treated by cataract surgeon Dr Sheraz Daya and gave delegates the chance to evaluate the new 3D laser technology.
‘The laser replaces the human hand in a number of steps and in less than 20 seconds, makes incisions to enter the eye, a precise circular opening in the lens as well as effortlessly breaking up the cataract. From start to finish, it takes just three minutes to deliver,’ said Dr Daya.
