Optician Awards
Entries for the 2006 optician Awards are now being invited online by using www.opticianonline.net.

Entries for the 2006 optician Awards are now being invited online by using www.opticianonline.net.

To make entering the awards as accessible as possible, an awards area of our website has been created and a link to it can be found on the home page of our website. The area provides all of the information needed to enter the awards and a full rundown of the categories. The website also includes a pro forma entry form for entry to the contact lens category.

There are 10 awards up for grabs this year. New for 2006 is the Charity Campaign of the Year, sponsored by domiciliary provider The Outside Clinic and the Community Involvement Award, sponsored by Specsavers. Transitions joins the awards as a sponsor to back the Healthy Sight Practice of the Year Award.

A keynote category for the year is the Independent Fightback Award and optician will also be seeking nominations for the Optical Product of the Year Award. Large High Street Multiple Practice of the Year is also a new category for 2006.

Another new sponsor, BBGR, is our partner for the Outstanding Dispensing Optician of the Year, while Johnson & Johnson is supporting the Contact Lens Practice of the Year Award. The Contribution to CET Award is sponsored by Dollond & Aitchison and the Technology Practice of the Year by Grafton Optical and Relcon.

The awards culminate in a black tie dinner at a top London hotel, complete with entertainment, celebrity compere, dancing and much more.
