The marketing team behind Sight Care's consumer campaign, Eye Love My Local Independent Optician, has won a gold award at the PRwide Awards.
Winchester-based Remarkable Group won the award for Best Campaign for Sight Care's back to school initiative.
Remarkable Group and Sight Care said they looked to address the statistic announced by the Association of Optometrists in 2011 that up to one million children in Britain had an undiagnosed eye condition. Sight Care's own subsequent survey revealed that one in 10 parents had never had their children's eyes tested. The results of the survey and case study were seen by over seven million people on TV, radio and national newspapers.
