Canon Medical Systems Europe has announced Sense Medical as the exclusive distributor of its ophthalmic eye care products from February 23 in the UK and Ireland, including retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography (OCT) devices.
Abdul Jahangir, managing director at Sense Medical, said: ‘The new partnership with Canon is a unique model for us, which sets us apart from normal distributorship. Canon is a global medical imaging brand with direct and indirect presence on the global stand.
‘Canon Eyecare has always been a premium brand that all clinicians and medical photographers are very familiar with and we want to build on that strength in the UK and Ireland markets.’
Attendees at 100% Optical will be able to view Canon’s imaging devices, such as the Xephilio OCT-S1, which is a widefield swept source device that is networked to a server and provides a 23mm scan.
