International eyewear brands have reported a large increase in demand for fashionable frames for children and young teens thanks to their fashion savvy nature.
The leading UK optical trade show, Optrafair (Birmingham NEC, April 18-20), will see the debut of many exciting new ranges destined for the UK practices.
Peter Beaumont, director of UK frame distributor Dunelm said between 15 and 20 per cent its total sales were children’s frames and that there had been a significant increase over the last 10 years and more than five percent the last year.
