An optical practice has been re-opened by the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Dan Putty, after linking up with contact lens firm Oculus.
Chineham Centre Opticians in Basingstoke has become the founder member of the Oculus Contact Lens Centre network.
Practice owner Chris Cox (right) said his team had developed a ‘great reputation’ around Basingstoke for their work with patients requiring spectacles, but would now be putting equal emphasis on the contact lens side of the business.
Oculus founder Jeff Jacobs (left) said: ‘We respect and value independence which is why the Oculus brand will sit alongside the Chineham Centre Opticians brand rather than replacing it.’
