US luxury brand Chrome Hearts has acquired the assets of Optical Shop International (OSI) through a newly formed company Chrome Hearts Eyewear.
The company described the acquisition as strategic in nature, enabling Chrome Hearts to oversee all of its key product categories. OSI obtained the licence to distribute Chrome Hearts eyewear in 2001, since when it has expanded distribution to some 60 countries and produced high quality designs.
Chrome Hearts stated that its owners Laurie Lynn and Richard Stark felt the time was right to combine the two businesses to ensure consistency across all product lines from jewellery to eyewear. 'In addition the combined entity will benefit from key operational synergies by drawing on the best resources from each company.'
