College of Optometrists chief executive Bryony Pawinska has been nominated by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) for the European Quality Leader of the Year Awards.

bryonyCollege of Optometrists chief executive Bryony Pawinska has been nominated by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) for the European Quality Leader of the Year Awards.

Pawinska was one of four finalists for the UK Quality Leader of the Year Awards at a ceremony in Edinburgh last week. She and the winner are now going forward to the European Awards to be held in Brussels in the spring.

The annual UK awards are managed by the CQI and recognise individuals who have achieved success for their organisation through their leadership.

Commenting on her success, Pawinska said: 'I am delighted that the teamwork approach between the staff and Council members that has worked so well at the College over recent years has been recognised by the CQI in this way.'
