College of Optometrists schedules Scottish AMD lecture

Members of the College of Optometrists have been invited to an AMD event in Aberdeen this September.

Dr Zachariah Koshy, consultant ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at NHS Ayr Hospital, will present a lecture entitled ‘The battle against AMD: understanding the enemy, the weapons, the strategy’. The lecture has been scheduled for September 17 at the Thistle Aberdeen Altens Hotel and assigned one CET point.

Dr Koshy said: ‘This presentation is designed to supplement optometrists’ understanding of disease manifestation and progression of various types of AMD, help them to make informed decisions on treatment, and better understand the role they should play in the shared management of patients with AMD.
