Driving and low vision will be one of the issues discussed at the second national low vision services implementation conference on Monday (October 28).
Other topics for debate at the central London event will be neurological vision loss and the role of coloured lenses, assessing people with learning disabilities, and 'getting contracts and developing services'.
The one-day meeting, at Regent's Wharf, is fully booked with 100 delegates attending.
Speakers include Louise Culham, principal optometrist at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Dr Frank Eperjesi, lecturer at Aston University, and UMIST's lecturer on low vision Dr Christine Dickinson who will speak on 'mobility or liability Ð low vision and driving'.
The one-day event splits into topics dedicated to 'essential standards and services' and 'the role of the committee'.
