Cornea unit issues guide

Contact lens practitioners worldwide are to receive a copy of a new guide offering identification and treatment guidelines for corneal conditions.

The Guide to Corneal Infiltrative Conditions, sponsored by Ciba Vision, grew out of research carried out over the past 10 years at Sydney's Cornea and Contact Lens Research Unit, and India's LV Prasad Eye Institute. It covers conditions from microbial keratitis to contact-lens-induced peripheral ulcers. CCLRU director Professor Brien Holden said that an information brochure on inflammatory responses had been expanded to make it widely available. A CD-Rom version will be produced. Ciba Vision has generously decided to help us in this task by meeting the costs of production and distribution.'
