Daysoft is to more than double the rebate it pays to independent practices whose patients buy lenses from its website.
The Scottish daily disposable lens maker introduced its Partnership Plan in the summer of last year. The plan works by encouraging consumers to buy contact lenses direct from Daysoft online. The website verifies the prescription obtained from the customer's optical practice.
As part of the online process the consumer is required to input the name of their practitioner and that practice receives a rebate. Until now Daysoft has paid the practice £5. From the end of this year that rebate will be increased to the full price the practice would have paid Daysoft for the lenses, £11.98 per wearer per month.
