Chair of Deafblind Scotland sets out to complete the three peaks challenge

Bob Nolan, chair of Deafblind Scotland (DbS), has set out to complete the three peaks challenge later this month.

Nolan, who is deafblind himself, aims to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all in one week in late June, traversing the distances between on a tandem bicycle.

He will be guided on the climb by wife Louise, who is also deaf, and two good friends will assist in the journeys between the peaks.

DbS said this is a feat that has never been completed by a deafblind person before. Nolan is hoping to raise awareness surrounding the plight of dual sensory loss.
