Dublin VE completes treadmill challenge

Five runners from Vision Express in Dublin’s Blanchardstown shopping centre have raised over €1,300 for Temple Street children’s hospital in a treadmill challenge.

Staff took shifts on the treadmill while attempting to cover 75 miles - the distance to the multiple’s practice in Athlone. Store manager Andrew McKillen said: ‘We are thrilled to have received such amazing local support for our fundraiser. We’d like to thank everyone who cheered us on and put their hand in their pocket, for what is a very worthy cause. It seemed to capture the interest of the public, with one shopper contributing €50, which was fantastic.’
