Dietmar Rathbauer, managing director for Rodenstock UK, explained that while the company's core business would continue to be lenses, it wished to expand its eyewear segment. 'We see ourselves as a luxury frame provider at the high end of the market in order to match the quality and innovation of our premium lenses,' he said.

As part of a concerted strategy to develop its frame portfolio with luxury brands, Rodenstock will follow up the Dunhill launch with the release of eyewear collections for other exclusive labels over the next few years.
