Eco organises beach clean-up

Rena Majore beach

Eyewear company Eco celebrated Oceans Day (June 8) with a beach clean-up at Rena Majore beach on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia.

The beach clean-up was part of Eco’s Wave of Change project in collaboration with Waste Free Oceans and saw over 30 volunteers remove plastic washed onto the beach by storm surges.

Wave of Change was developed to safeguard oceans and rivers from single-use plastics, such as food wrappers, straws and bottles, that can be harmful to the environment.

Through the project, Eco has given a new life to plastic waste by creating its Ocean range of sunglasses, including the Malo, Wade and Kiama models.
