Frontline NHS workers, including staff in primary eye care settings, will be offered a Covid booster vaccine this autumn.
In England, the booster rollout started on September 5 with priority given to people in high risk groups, such as those who are housebound.
Bookings will be taken for people aged 75 and over from September 12, at which stage frontline workers are expected to be offered the vaccine.
Boosters will be rolled out in Northern Ireland from September 19, while vaccine programmes have started in Scotland and Wales with details for healthcare workers to be confirmed.
