London-based eyewear company Eye Respect launched its debut collection at the Silmo exhibition in Paris last month.

The company already supplies AM Eyewear, Andy Wolf, John Varvatos and 3.1 Philip Lim. Managing director Jonathan van Blerk said that he felt the timing was perfect to enter the market with Eye Respect's own take on handmade, heritage-inspired frames and sunglasses.

'Each frame has been carefully considered and developed around larger than life characters and firm friends of Eye Respect from the worlds of art, finance, motor racing, travel, sport, publishing and fashion,' he said. Brand director Rufus Abbott added: 'Our debut collection is handmade in Italy and focuses very much on Eye Respect customers' wants and requests for handmade, high quality eyewear that does not exceed £195 at retail, yet is crafted and feels that it should be £295 at retail, found in the finest eyewear boutiques around the world.'
