​Vision charity teams up with Vision Direct for its #ThinkUV campaign

Vision charity Fight for Sight has teamed up with Europe’s largest online contact lens retailer Vision Direct for the second year in a row for its #ThinkUV campaign.

The social media promotion encouraged people to take a ‘sunglasses selfie’ to raise funds for Fight for Sight’s research into sight loss prevention.

Vision Direct pledged to donate £3 to Fight for Sight for every customer who tweeted #ThinkUV during August.

Brendan O’Brien, COO of Vision Direct, said: ‘Many people don’t realise the potentially damaging effect that UV can have on their eye health. That’s why we’re encouraging people to ‘think UV’ this summer and wear their sunglasses.’
