Fresh look for PAC conference

Over 2,200 delegates descended on the ICC Birmingham this month for Specsavers’ annual Professional Advancement Conference (PAC), which had a new format to reflect enhanced CET changes.

Ten different halls at venue were used to offer a varied programme of lectures, workshops and peer discussions.

‘The introduction of the new enhanced CET scheme at the start of this year allowed us to take a fresh look at the format of the conference – including multiple peer discussions for all practitioner groups,’ said PAC chairman and Specsavers’ director of professional services Paul Carroll.

The multiple said more than 1,800 delegates completed one or more peer discussion sessions at the event. Topics included contact lens fitting for all ages, contemporary solutions for refractive management and challenges in both adult and paediatric communication.
