Optometry students have been offered a visit to Optical Express’s Glasgow flagship city centre store as part of a new placement scheme.
Undergraduates from Glasgow Caledonian University will take part in half-day clinical sessions to help gain experience of clinical and eye surgery techniques.
Under the scheme, the students will also get the chance to shadow Optical Express’s clinical team including optometrists, surgeon support optometrists and ophthalmic surgeons.
‘Education is the main focus of our new student project. As the UK’s leading provider of laser eye surgery, we are keen to share our expertise and knowledge of the latest advances in eye care,’ said Optical Express professional development director Geraldine Meade.
