The GOC's fitness to practise committee has upheld an interim order for the suspension of Nathan Benjahman Hill made on 8 May 2007. It determined that it was in the public interest to proceed in Hill's absence as it was satisfied that all reasonable notification efforts had been made.
Hill, who performed a sexual act in front of a female student in Aston University library in November 2006, failed to attend the last GOC disciplinary review of his suspension in October 2007.
The committee decided that no purpose would be served by an adjournment and that the hearing against Hill would be entitled to take into account his conviction of a public order offence in Birmingham Magistrates Court.
