u Sola has developed a new dispensing guide which it says will help practitioners select the right lens for each patient quickly and simply.
The lens company claims practitioners have just 30 seconds to select and sell the correct lens to patients.
Sola research has identified five categories of lens which have been presented in a bold new way for stockists. It has incorporated these categories into what it describes as an ÔeffortlessÕ dispensing guide.
The lens types are colour coded as a result of the research and discussions with practitioner focus groups. The types are: single vision (stock range), single vision (prescription), progressives, bifocals and mirror coated Matrix RX.
Patient benefits and pricing are clearly outlined, enabling the right type of lens to be dispensed in 30 seconds.
Steve Wright, commercial director of Sola UK, said the guide helped match the right lens to patients as simply as possible. ÔThe new guide is all about making the lens selection and presentation process easy for busy opticians who are increasingly using lifestyle marketing to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive market.Õ
The guide includes a rationalised portfolio of lenses and price reductions of up to 25 per cent.
