High demand for toolkits

Around half of the 500 free toolkits available to Optician readers on how to write patient letters have been handed out.

In the first weekend of the offer, 181 copies of More Patients, More Often - Part One had been ordered.

Graham Hutchison, co-author of the publication, said: 'We've been surprised by the strength of demand for this kit. Nearly 200 have been ordered in the first three days. Practitioners interested in improving their patient recall should act quickly if they wish to get a free sponsored copy.'

The toolkit is being sponsored by ABDO, Optician and Independents Day, with a subsidised price of £95 following the offer.
