Spectrum Thea has launched a new preservative-free Hyabak dry eye solution which the company said used a new formula. The new hypotonic formula was said to work by reducing the osmolarity of the tear film, restoring the natural osmotic balance to hydrate and lubricate the ocular surface. This offered a reduction in tear evaporation and dryness symptoms. The product is suitable for regular use and for contact lenses wearers. The 300-drop bottles were said to last up to three months.
