An optical practice has drawn up a list of the optical awareness events worth putting in the diary this year.
Among the dates to look out for were Glaucoma Awareness Month, taking place at the moment, and AMD Awareness Month in February.
‘As a practice we are keen to promote these and hope that if you publish the dates this will allow other to do so also,’ said Melissa Holden of Philip Jones Opticians.
The following dates are worth looking out for:
January – Glaucoma Awareness Month
February – AMD Awareness Month
March – World Glaucoma Week (March 6-12)
April – Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month
May – Healthy Vision Month (National Eye Institute, US)
