A dispensing optician has been given an interim order for conditional registration by the General Optical Council after police reported his arrest for shouting outside a pub.
Stephen Williams, currently employed by Specsavers as an optical manager, received a caution from South Wales Police for disorderly behaviour on Saturday August 4 last year.
‘Despite requests by the police to calm down, the registrant continued to shout and swear in the street,’ the GOC’s fitness to practise committee heard last month.
It ordered that Williams would be subject to conditional registration for 18 months.
