iShow sets scene for main event

A free-to-attend precursor event to Independents Day has been opened up to all independent practitioners. The event, now called the iShow, replaces the 'Sunday Free for All' day and takes place on Sunday July 7 with over 40 companies exhibiting along with a mix of clinical and commercial talks.

Organiser Proven Track Record (PTR) said this year's speaker line-up was made up of those due to speak at the failed EyeShow business seminars. They include social media user Garry Kousoulou, marketing specialist Andy Clark, Eyesite managing director David Samuel and communications expert Sarah Morgan.

PTR director Nick Atkins said: 'This is a fantastic line-up in its own right and is not even the main event. It enables those independents who can't escape the practice for Independents Day this year, the opportunity to sample the unique experience.'
