Eyewear brand Izipizi has been awarded B-Corp certification, in recognition of its strong social and ecological commitments around governance, workers, the environment, customers and the community.
The B-Corp certification required complete transparency, months of discussions and legal social and ecological commitments to stakeholders.
Since beginning its sustainability journey in 2020 with its first carbon audit, the brand has set targets to achieve 30% of production using bio-sourced materials and introduced a new material composed of 45% castor oil.
The company said: 'Every part of the company was examined with a fine-tooth comb, since only complete consistency in our actions, CSR or other, was good enough to obtain the strict certification we are so proud of receiving.
