After the debut of its retro Podium collection late last year, Jai Kudo has released a second line of vintage-style ophthalmic frames.
The Walter frame (1) goes beyond regular retro efforts and looks right back to the 1920s for its inspiration - with an overtly rounded lens shape and simple round studs. The Zachary (2) and William (3) models look to a similar time for their point of reference, but the oval and round silhouettes in fine metal give the frames a more modern feel.
Using the trend for oversized shapes, the Anastasia frame (4) has a glamorous silhouette and takes the vintage theme all the way down to the rivet hinges. The Charlotte (5) and Emma (6) frames feature 1950s silhouettes, but heavily weighted brows, slimline lower rims and modern colours make them the most modern looking frames in the collection.
