Komono collaborates with fashion department of Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp

Eyewear company Komono has collaborated with the fashion department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp on a capsule collection of frames.

The capsule collection has been created by four graduate students who have reimagined the eyewear of tomorrow through their ‘exploration of innovative forms, search for new colour combinations and pursue for the original treatment of materials,’ according to Komono.

Grace Hyejin Kim, 26, from South Korea was inspired by winter and conveys her ‘feelings of being lonely and longing for family as an international student in a foreign country’ through her collection.

Nick Haemels, 25, from Belgium said that the whole aesthetic of his collection ‘is based on laboratories and has this very clean feel to it’, drawing his inspiration from the film Ex Machina.
