A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Aston University's School of Life and Health Sciences and BBR Optometry in Hereford has been recognised with an award at an event to raise awareness of the breadth and quality of the KTP activities.
The Aston event included a poster competition of 14 current and recently completed projects, with the BBR Optometry KTP being successful in the new projects category. It was designed to develop a business model based on enhanced eye care provision and revenue in high street practices and to assess the suitability of a range of stand-alone clinical services.
Neelam Patel, the KTP associate with BBR Optometry said: 'It was great to win a prize within only six months of starting the project. My KTP gives me the best of both worlds, allowing me to practise as a qualified optometrist and work on an exciting project to further grow the business.'
