Sixteen industry figures took part in the Flora London Marathon this year pledging to raise over £20,000.

Sixteen industry figures took part in the Flora London Marathon this year pledging to raise over £20,000.

Runners included six from Specsavers, Carl Dwyer from CIBA Vision, Andrew Webb from Bausch & Lomb UK and Neale Pugh from Leightons Opticians.

First-time marathon runner Pugh, 47, who ran the marathon in just under four hours and raised around £6,000 said: 'I really enjoyed the day and it was great to be able to raise money for Fight for Sight.'

Newbury Specsavers optical technician Trevor Price, 35, achieved the fastest time out of the Fight for Sight runners with three hours, 25 minutes and 30 seconds. 'This was my first marathon and I really enjoyed it, I definitely want to do it again.'
