Measurements at the double

Equipment

Diagnostic equipment distributor Carleton has launched the Canon TX-20P, a multi-functional ophthalmic instrument that measures intraocular pressure (IOP) and central corneal thickness (CCT) simultaneously.

The TX-20P, which combines a tonometer and pachymeter, will automatically align and focus and take multiple measurements of IOP and CCT on both eyes. Recalculated IOP values can be printed out automatically.

The TX-20P features a tilting 5.7 inch colour LCD screen which allows the machine to be used while standing or sitting.

The company said the instrument removed the need for separate devices and eliminated time spent on manual calculations, therefore enhancing practice efficiency and faster patient throughput.
