Specsavers has selected Nigel Dufty to fill its newly created position of UK IT director.
Dufty, who is vice-president of international IT at entertainment rental company Blockbuster, begins work on September 11.
Reporting to group IT director Michel Khan, he will be based in Guernsey, from where core IT operations are run.
Khan said: ‘We are developing a number of projects and the key reason for hiring someone else is to structure the department to handle projects effectively.’
