Nexy big thing

Unveiled at Optrafair by Grafton Optical was the Nexy retinal imaging system from Nextsight, which the company said produced high quality images in under 15 seconds.

The Nexy device is an automated non-mydriatic retinal camera, capable of delivering high definition colour images of the ocular fundus with a 45° angle of view.

Grafton Optical CEO David Thickens said: ‘The Nexy system is perfect for those looking for a quick, easy to use camera with additional telemedicine and image review capabilities included. The device is designed for busy practices who need instrumentation which can be easily used by support staff, not just the optician. A fully automated focus, alignment and capture system provides quality images for a range of different areas of the retina every time.’
