ReadEZ system for Meares-Irlen syndrome patients selects most suitable tint

Norville offers Meares-Irlen syndrome solutionNorville Optical has introduced the ReadEZ system for Meares-Irlen syndrome patients.

Developed by Professor David Thomson with Thomson Software Solutions and Norville Optical, the ReadEZ system determines the preferred colour of tinted lenses, in coloured clip-ons, afocal spectacles and Rx lens options.

‘Research suggests that up to 20 per cent of the population experience discomfort when viewing certain patterns. This includes text, which can move, flicker, merge and underline. Meares-Irlen syndrome sufferers may be labelled as underachievers with behavioural, attention or motivational problems,’ said a Norville spokesperson.
