Specsavers’ CET roadshow has seen the number of attendees grow for the fifth year in a row.
A total of 2,050 optometrists, dispensing opticians (DO) and contact lens opticians (CLO) went to the series of 13 regional MiniPAC conferences between March and May and earned up to 17 CET points, with 6% of delegates from practices outside of Specsavers.
The conferences offered sessions on contact lenses for complex prescriptions and corneal problems, oculoplastics and dry eye, paediatric eye care and retinal pathology, challenging glaucoma cases and dispensing specialist ophthalmic lenses. There were also workshops on the use of OCT as part of a multidisciplinary team, an introduction to supervision, fitness to practise and managing complaints effectively to avoid unnecessary escalation.
