Obituary: Stephen Wilkinson

Dispensing optician Stephen Wilkinson, who worked for Thomas H Collison, has died.

Steve qualified in 1975, writes Mark Godfrey, the company's south coast regional manager, and spent most of his career working for the Alfred Hawes/Clifford Brown Group on the south coast.

He continued to manage the Littlehampton practice following the group's acquisition by Thomas H Collison.

Recently Steve had been working from his Eastbourne home as a locum DO in the Sussex region.

Steve was an experienced professional with an enviable knowledge of his subject which he was always willing to pass onto his more junior colleagues and always retained his dry sense of humour whatever the situation.

Steve will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
