
Ocuco has committed to maintaining carbon neutrality at its headquarters in Dublin until 2022 after it joined the GoCarbonNeutral.ie initiative in 2020.
The software company offset 2,320 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions by reforesting almost 15 acres of woodland, which included 20,000 trees of native Irish species.
Leo Mac Canna, CEO at Ocuco, said: ‘As a leading provider of software in the optical sector, we must set an example and commit to avert global warming. Corporations, independent practices and individuals have a shared responsibility to mitigate their environmental impact.’
Ocuco said its offices promote a paperless work environment and raise awareness of environmental issues internally.
