Caroline Christie (pictured), together with fellow optometrist Professor Sudi Patel, has been presented with a gold medal for ‘Outstanding contributions to optometry’ at a conference in India.
Each have been associated with optometric education for three decades and received credit for their published work and presentations.
The medals were granted by the state governor of Maharashtra, Kateekal Sankaranarayanan, during the first World Optometry Ophthalmic Optics and Contact Lens Congress, held in Mumbai earlier this month. Christie and Professor Patel presented papers covering aspects of advanced specialist contact lenses and dry eye at the three-day congress.
