
Ophthalmology provider Optegra welcomed Adam Cockley to its UK leadership team, as commercial director, with responsibility for leading on all sales initiatives and commercial activities to deliver business growth.
His role would also would include launching NHS diagnostic clinics close to Optegra’s core hospitals and managing the Service Promotion Executive team to raise awareness about its NHS cataract service to community optometrists and GPs.
Cockley said: ‘As commercial director I am obviously very results focused, but also passionate to be working in the meaningful and worthwhile healthcare industry, assisting the company as they make a difference to peoples’ lives every day.’
Cockley has over two decades of experience in healthcare, gaining a biology degree and starting his career in biological research, before working for 12 years in sales and marketing at Diversey and eight years at Gama Healthcare, where he managed a £45m business, including the NHS hospital segment.
