Optegra has acquired Aston University Day Hospital from Birmingham's Aston University, its third major investment this year.
Optegra has acquired the hospital, part of the University's School of Life Sciences where optometry is taught, along with its research facilities. This, said Optegra, would allow it to develop its position at the forefront of ophthalmology and vision correction.
Tim Clover, chief executive officer of Optegra Eye Hospitals, said: 'The Aston University Day Hospital brings together cutting edge research and medical expertise, offering us an attractive combination at this stage in our development and expansion.'
Alistair Hewgill, CEO of Aston University said: 'We are delighted that Optegra has acquired the hospital and will invest and grow it to the benefit of both patients and staff.
