Optegra Eye Hospital in London has launched a bespoke new glaucoma monitoring service to reassure patients who are at risk through assessments with a glaucoma specialist.

The service, costing £675 for 12 months of monitoring, was to be led by Professor Philip Bloom, an ophthalmic specialist with 30 years’ experience.

Hospital director Farzam Jafari said: ‘As well as treating symptoms and conditions, we are keen that patients are aware of preventative measures, and with glaucoma particularly, we are eager to pick up on symptoms as early as possible, to offer the best chance of most successful treatment.’
