Optical dispensers awarded Level 4 qualification

More than 1,750 optical dispensers have received a Level 4 qualification from Specsavers’ in-house training programme.

The students were awarded the qualifications at a graduation ceremony at Albert Hall in Nottingham on November 18, where Specsavers’ co-founder Dame Mary Perkins was the guest of honour.

Dispensing training manager Tony Douglass said: ‘You are embarking on a rewarding career – the gift of sight is a wonderful thing. Hopefully, many of you will embark on the dispensing optician course, to take your learning to the next stage. I know several former students who now run their own stores – so the only limits are those you place on yourself.’
