A driver caught wearing Google Glass behind the wheel in the US has been issued with a ticket by California Highway Patrol. Cecilia Abadie, one of a select group of Glass Explorers chosen by the technology company to test the wearable technology, later posted her ticket online. The driver, who was unaware that wearing the device was illegal, was accused by officers of ‘driving with monitor visible to driver’ on the ticket.
Eye drug Jetrea has been recommended by NICE as a treatment option for vitreomacular traction including when associated with macular hole. The guidance recommended use within the NHS in England and Wales, said manufacturer Alcon. ‘We are very pleased by the NICE decision, as Jetrea represents a breakthrough treatment option for patients in the UK, which is now recommended for use in the NHS,’ said Stuart Raetzman, area president Europe, Middle East and Africa, Alcon.
